Kay's Heart

This blog is really not about me, but you might want to know where I’m coming from.  After my most recent mission trip (spring ’09), the Lord helped me understand what I haven’t been able to put my finger on for many years.  I don’t just have a heart for the mission field.  I have a heart for the missionaries.  He has allowed me to feel some of the struggles you have as you serve Him in lands so different from your own – not just in ministering to people who don’t speak the same language, but in everyday  living.  It’s the food shopping, the electricity, the water, the raising of children, the transportation, the laundry, etc.  It’s everyday living we all do – with the effort multiplied many times over.  And, it’s away from the network of friends, family, and sometimes even Christian community.

God sees your struggles, and He sees you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, encouraging yourselves in Him.  He also sees the longing for interaction with others of like faith and experiences.  Because He has given me a touch of His heart for you precious women on the mission field, I am giving you this blog – a tool to keep you connected to others and strengthened in Him in the midst of your circumstances.
